Otil is a Windows system utility with the goal of telling you everything you need to know about your
computer in
one place.
This utility was designed to replace the need to start up multiple utilities to find information about your
system as a whole.
The name Otil is short for One Utility, and is meant to further the idea that Otil is the only utility app
that
you should ever need.
Inspiration came from a number of current utility packages and a frustration with having to open them all up
to
see the full picture.
Just to name a few:
The idea with Otil is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
"Why open source?"
The main reason to open source is that Otil is meant to be shared. A lot of effort was put into making Otil
what
it is today and solves problems faced by many trying to develop similar solutions.
Finally, nobody is perfect. Otil will always have room for improvement and a community, more that just one
or
two developers, is key to its continued growth.
